American Exploration is a photographic journey across the United States, created from the belief that while we live in different cities, speak different languages, and celebrate different traditions, we are ultimately united by something greater. This project is a tribute to the communities that make up the cultural fabric of America. From the traditions of the charro and escaramuza riders in Virginia, to the storytelling elders of Little Havana, to the spiritual heartbeat of Shaw in D.C., and the hard work and heart of Koreatown in Los Angeles.

Each stop reveals a thread, a memory, a conversation, that connects us beyond borders or birthplace. At the center of it all is a shared love for the game of football, a language spoken across cultures and identities. In partnership with FC Bayern Munich — one of the world’s most storied and successful clubs — this project honors the idea that sport is more than competition.

It is community. It is connection. It is a reflection of who we are, and who we hope to become.
